CHASE CASE #2

Nothing's changed; getting around the SE side of the Amarillo metro area, headed to I-27, where I'll blast south to intercept the cells east of the NM border heading towards the I-27 corridor.

Perhaps I should've stayed in Hastings. Heading back south on 281 to hopefully intercept the developing supercell SW of Hastings. If I go fast enough, I might make it there as the storm does, so I will have to look for routes east just before I get to Hastings (maybe I-80 depending on how fast the storm moves).

-SKYWARN SPOTTER REPORTED SAME TORNADO ON THE GROUND NEAR THE TOWN OF DAWN AT 2220Z.

Im gonna keep heading southwest on US-60 to intercept the 2 storms SW of AMA. Ill make a firm decision after I get closer on which exact cell I well intercept.

EDIT: I WILL be targeting the North storm with the large tornado. I'm gonna floor it and hope to get there in an hour, hopefully.

Im going to race North, and try to catch up near the nebraska-Iowa border if im lucky

Off from Pampa (ideally a few hours ago, but I missed a few updates) and toward the developing storms to the NW. I imagine had I seen the updates earlier, I would have taken off toward Dalhart based on visible satellite.

I am on the southern most storm in eastern Parmer, County. Looks like I missed the tornado near Hereford, but hopefully this supercell produces as well.

Edit:
WEDGE TORNADO REPORTED 7 MI SW OF HAPPY TX.

That works! Hopefully I was able to stay with the storm as it tracked across Castro County.
