• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Chase Case #3 (2010 version)

Going to move from Springfield, MO to Nevada, MO to play the southern end of the squall line....the road options are good here and the terrain is not bad either.....so I hoping their is enough mid and low level rotation to get a discrete cell to rotate....

I'm going to wait here in Clarksville, TN and watch the storms roll through. Maybe no tornadoes in the South, but I will enjoy the storms anyhow. And in real life, I wouldn't know anyhow.

Heading north in AR to get closer to home. I will cross east over into TN if it is catchable by the time I get there. More than likely, my chase is over.

I was thinking how to make this more realistic. I would love to give hour by hour updates from 18z to 00z. Only problem with that is A) I would do maybe one or two hours a day and people will want to speed it up, or B) I do it to fast and not give people enough time to play. I am trying to think of a realistic solution. I was thinking about taking it to the Convective Addiction website so I can make multiple pages ahead of time. Then have people advance one day at a time. If you fall behind you can just catch up from the links I provide. I agree with you, normally an hour (even less) update is the most ideal. Maybe I can get something figured out.

Unless you just really enjoy doing this and WANT to do that, don't kill yourself, man. It'd be sweet, but that's a bit too much for us to fairly ask of you.

I'm not going to say no, of course, though, lol. The idea you just gave is solid, though, if it can be done, but I think people do like the "call it out and prove you did well" strategy and being held accountable by their past posts aspect that ST gives, as well.

I don't mind doing these cases. I usually work my day job in the mornings and I am bored half the night at the fire house anyway so I have nothing better to do between runs. lol. Chase cases deter people from drama anyway, anything to keep ones mind fixed on weather. I am actually working on a new game with the CA peeps. Gotta iron out the miscues but I really think all will enjoy it. Look for it in the next week or two.

Since no body is remotely close to chasing IA where 90% of the tornadoes were on this day, I will just go ahead and end the case. Storm were moving near 70 MPH up there on APRIL 10th, 2008! I chased this day but stuck to W. IL and got on the tornado warned storm near Roseville, IL. Failed to produce and chase was cut short early due to Adam's uh oh behind me lol.

Does anyone want to do chase case 4??? If not I will do it in the next couple of days. If someone does take it I will gladly play!

Bahaha. I was on the same storm...messy, messy meso when I intercepted near Raritan.

Guess I wouldn't have been chasing this storm had I had more time, lol.
