I'll start on the Mississippi River with a bridge crossing: U.S. 49 on the south side of Helena, AR. That way I can make a move without having to backtrack should something happen nearby.

ADD: I'm not mistaken am I? The data shown is essentially for 18 - 24 hrs before the event, right?

Seriously, I think I'll have spent another day in Wichita, KS following Case #2, and I'll spend tonight here as well. Will move to a target in the morning.

I think I'll head down to Cape Girardeau, MO for the evening and await the 12z data in the morning, which will allow me to refine the target as necessary.

It seems like the on going convection may keep the best quality moisture trapped into the mid-south Mississippi river valley region. Combined with the very strong speed maxes that haven't rounded the base of the trough, this set-up screams LA/AR/MO. (Which means all 3 of those states will probably bust)

Since this is a virtual chase I am renting a helicopter for the next 48 hours and heading to Branson, MO. Hopefully there is a hotel room!
