• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Best storm pic of the 08 season

Chris Collura wins...this is probably the sweetest structure I've seen in a photo.

Incredible pic, Chris!

I agree with you Dick. My jaw dropped when I saw this in the report thread for yesterday. I saw all the post where people were talking about the awesome structure of that storm, but didn't really hit me until Chris posted that picture of it. I'm definately more of a storm structure type guy and my best pics of storm structure came out of the Wichita Falls supercell back on April 7th...

That supercell looks supernatural....like something found on Jupiter or Saturn. It looks like the whole cloud is ready to come down. Never seen structure that dramatic ever. Chris Collura and Bill Hark get the prize to date...since they are both very dramatic shots !! No doubt there is a tornado under that puppy.

Yowza - there are some PHENOMENAL shots in this thread.

Probably my favorite of our shots from this season came this past Saturday, about three miles WSW of Marshall, OK.

Thanks to all nominating my explosive updraft pic. But, hands down, Chris C's pic is drop-dead gorgeous and mesmerizing. Storm wood indeed. That pic gets my vote so far for this season. :-) Lots of great pics from everybody! We should change to post title to "2008 Eye Candy Store".

I've got to agree with everyone else. Chris' shot is amazing. The fact that there is a tube under there is just icing on the cake. :) Also love all the other shots that have been posted.

Here's 2 from me. The first is from 5/24 west of Marshall, OK. The second is from 5/25 northwest of Miami, TX.
