What lazy chasers are you talking about? How long you been doing this?
I think Warren coined the term "Panhandle Magic"? I am leaving tomorrow from Phoenix to drive out to for my annual chase vacation. I have"t even considered cancelling. I love a challenge. I will be out for a couple weeks. This crazy weather pattern is just plain crazy with our Monsoon already starting here in Arizona. Just watch what I can dig up from this "impossible" ridge crap. It will be fun to listen to these lazy chasers backtracking why things happened that shouldn"t have. You just play the cards that are delt and be thankful your healthy enough to enjoy the hunt. Some years you just gotta work alittle harder and drive alittle farther.
Ha..I heard "stick a fork in it...this season is toast..today, a slight risk in Nebraska with a 2% tornado prob.
Actually this will be my 15th year in a row that I have driven out from ARIZONA! I have not missed a year. Went out more than once during a ridge. I dont think alot of people on here would drive half across country hoping to see a landspout or a gustnado...I do.
But then I have lived in Arizona 25 years and have never been to the Grand Canyon... Im a lazy tourist.
...I guess I just hate it when a season turns dry, people brag about how it does not effect them personally. "Glad I got my tornado last month"
And my final excuse for the earlier post....Ambien CR...you should go to bed and not set on your computer after taking.
Actually, the 384 hour has a big cut off low right off the west coast. If that can come through and break down this blocking pattern, we might be in business to get return flow off the gulf with one or two more decent west coast troughs.
I've taped my fingers crossed!
The ECMWF is sort of following suit, with lows/small troughs and some southwesterly flow building off the west coast, fairly far to the south. If this stubborn Bermuda high can push far enough to the east and lock into a ring of fire type blocking pattern, we'll be in business, cause that Bermuda high ain't going anywhere. It just needs to get far enough east.
Congrats, Kem....you're one of those willing to drive after any and every severe weather threat. I for one don't want to drive 12+ hours for a chance at experiencing small hail and gusty winds. Doesn't make me or anyone else on here lazy, just different.
Still believing the ole 384 trough gag?
Wasn't one of those supposed to be coming in here and breaking down the ridge next week too?
When things do turn around, I'm ready to go!
