By the way, the national surface analysis (first link) seems to be giving away something as it is showing activity in SC KS as of the "18Z analysis" which is not showing up on the radar mosaics nor the surface obs. Is that from the correct date?

It claims to be accurate, but just in case it's some sort of a bizarre mistake, I included a different map now.

That cell actually lined up with the 1845z satellite image, which you can see a developing Cb. This isn't on the other 18z radar mosaics, so it must have developed within that 45 minute period. Just my guess. Still sticking with TOP though.
