1/19-1/23 Midwest Winter Precip

For now will leave the title as Midwest as models are VERY dissagreeable... looks like somewhere could see another winter weather event.. Models do not want to phase the system very well.. But that is typical of an El Nino year.. However, the lone UKMET does hint at a phased and quite strong system.. Low lever moisture seems to be a little meager... however h8 and up the rest of the column seem to be very well saturated.. Will have to watch the phasing/placement of the system.. But again.. Looks like could see some sort of winter weather make another return

After watching winter storms for many years, I have learned that lack of low level moisture can quickly put an end to any hopes of snow. The precipitation shield generally doesn't make it very far northward and you end up with "donut holes" around the 88D's.
