This NOW thread is started in response to TOR watch 801 issued for Iowa and southern Minnesota. An ongoing line of pre-frontal convection is now entering areas with higher instability and a more favorable wind environment, which may provoke storms to evolve into a line of surface-based supercells as the afternoon and evening continue.

TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND FROM JUST EAST OF ANTHON...TO
ABOUT 2 MILES WEST OF CORRECTIONVILLE...TO ABOUT 2 MILES
EAST OF PIERSON WHERE IT LIFTED.

At least 12 Tornado Warnings have been issued this afternoon
for parts of Iowa and Minnesota. Movement of the storms have
been to the north or northeast at 30-40 mph.
