• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

5/13/05 TALK: Southern Plains

First returns from tower SW of Quanah...seems initiation will be focused on meso-warm front/dryline/convergence intersection (the convergence line runs SW-NE located thru N of Lawton to Hollis and then SW thru that line, per OK Mesonet and KFDR radar)

If you chase the Cottle Couty cell watch out for the Red River.

Only choices to cross are US-283 and TX-6 heading out of Quanah.

More radar returns just south of I-40 in Collingsworth County. It appears the low level stratus is rapidly erroding along the TX/OK border.

Cottle County TX cell has now reached 40-45kft on radar...slow north northeast movement....some convergent rotation in low-mid levels.

Wow! The s cell in Cottle County came out of nowhere! From nothing to severe warned in 6 radar sweeps, and showing a defined hook with possible low lvl rotation already

Cottle Co storm seems to be going strong...watch the winds and downdrafts...seems to be a divergent signiture at the lowest tilt

Meso now indicated on Cottle County storm - 15kts shear.

Still very young......but it doesn't take long for these storms to go crazy if they want to.

I'm still worried about targets further into w-cntrl and northern OK.

KR

visible sat showing explosive developement. GRLEVEL3 showing meso on cell in Cottle county near paducah.

DANG! That thing (Cottle Cty) did blow up QUICK. Should move over Quanah in the next hour or so.

very young meso seems to be in the cottle co storm...any chasers out there might want to stay out of the RFD area today (given yesterday and 67.5 return on north edge of developing rotation)

Also looks like the FM680 out of Goodlett. It then turns into Hollis Road as it crosses the red river.
