No kidding. Abysmal year for me too, so it looks like more "photogenic scenes" (rather than any good supercells or, God forbid, tornadoes) will comprise my top photos for the year. Then again, what's new. Last "clean" shot of a daytime tornado for me was Hill City 2007-05-22, after which time I've chased on ~60 days...

I was very luck to have the freedom to chase virtually any time I wanted this spring after May 20th or so, 2009 turned out to be one of my best chase seasons ever as far as number of tornadoes to chase days ratio. 8 chase days, 7 tornadoes, and perhaps the best/closest lightning shot I will ever get!
