Enviornmental Disaster

after seeig the CNN report this evening it may be possible that a chemical disaster could be a big part of this event - evedently N/O has these unsecured chemical tanks (avgas and numerous other toxic chemicals) that are ABOVE ground and will float in the event of a storm surge RIGHT INTO THE CITY spilling their ingredients.....this would contaminate the waters in those lakes for years!
wow what else is next possible?

Yeah, if I remember correctly, there are huge chemical factories just to the west of New Orleans, just past Kenner, along the Mississippi. this is near where they expect the earliest flooding to occur due to the levees being not so high out near the airport.

I expect that most of the nastiest chemicals are pretty well secured, but it could still get pretty messy.
