NOLA threat seems more serious than many in that area are appreciating. With the high Mississippi stages, the risk for levee overtopping with more than minor surge is concerning.

Quite a strange appearance to this storm at/near landfall due to the mesovortex structures in the broader circulation. Hard to pick out where the center is - radar makes it appear farther inland than it really is.
