I really don't think how much rain we are getting here now is going to influence the spring at all. Like others have mentioned, the bulk of the moisture for storm systems in the spring comes from the Gulf. Evapotranspiration makes a very slight contribution and what is happening now isn't going to dictate how moist the soil is going to be across the plains come April. I try not to get caught up in looking at historical trends like that because you can usually find numbers and stats to support either scenario. Statistics are maleable.
