04/15/2006 FCST: NE, IA, MO, KS, OK

For those of you able to drop south a bit more perhaps into NE KS (maybe even south of KC) I would definitely be watching that area. Winds are backing nicely at the surface (SE'erly) and the directional shear is somewhat better with more of a westerly component to the 500mb winds over the area and slightly higher Tds with the same temps as points northward into NE. A steady flow of 60F Tds are beginning to nose their way into east central KS. If storms fire in this area they will be moving with a slight more easterly component (NNE) then those in Nebraska. However, with K.C. smack in the middle of this area chasing could be problematic.
