Alright, so this is stupid, I know, but for as long as I can remember I have a very hard time figuring out Zulu Time and especially when it comes to looking at forecast models. Like currently, I'm looking at 3K NAM simulated radar and it says Init: 2017-03-06 06z. So if I'm understanding right, is that a simulated radar for 12AM tonight?

When it says "Init: 2017-03-06 06z" that means that's the run that was done at that time. You're looking for "Valid: *insert time here* if you want the model forecast at a specific time within a model run.

For me personally, I've just memorized 00z as 6pm CST prior to DST and 7pm CST after DST and just count down from there.

Joey, since most of chase season is during daylight savings time, just remember Zulu time minus 5 hours gives you military time in the Central time zone

I found it just as quick to have it setup in my widgets and just swipe left when on the home screen to show the time zones.
