• A student is looking for help on tropical cyclone prediction. Please fill out the survey linked to this thread: https://stormtrack.org/threads/storm-and-hurricane-intensity-prediction-survey.32957
  • After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hi, if somone wants to chase with me in south dakota please let me know. ill be moving there in march, just in time for tornado season. if anyone wants to get togeather email me at my address in my profile. thanks

forrest, do you even read the threads? the post right above you even says that this is the post for the 2007 season.

I dont see nothing wrong with people posting in this thread for 2008 even though it is for 2007 and will be deleted. Alot of people need to plan vacations before the end of this year for vacations next year. There is 3 of us now trying to juggle or vacations to match up for next year right now. Plus if you dont live in the plains airfare is alot cheaper the earlier you book it. Why wait till later next year to try to plan things. Just my 2 cents

Feel free to post in this thread, just know when I create the 2008 thread next month, this one will be removed. Stands to reason if your posting for a chase partner for next year it would get more air time in the 2008 thread.

Yeah but David never said he could not look for a chaser partner in 2008 he just said this thread will be removed at the end of 2007. He is looking for his chase partner now. Just something to think about.
