Think I'll drive to Dodge City, KS and spend the night. This is a tough one! Kinda reminds me of one of those setups in early June where theres a random tornado in E CO...but we'll see what it looks like in the morning.
For those participating, your current positions are marked on this virtual map.
If you wish to play and be added, just reply with your starting position for tonight (00z). I will add your icon to the map after you reply in this thread.
Positions will be updated again after the 12z suite of data becomes available the day of the chase, allowing folks to select a new target area, if desired, and post that location as we have done previously in the other chase cases.
While the mid-Atlantic coast conditions are interesting, no way I'd be go there in a RL chase, so I'll also stick with the moisture return in TX. Put me in Abilene, TX, for the night.
Part of me wants to chase in NY... but I will bite and hope either cyclogensis can miraculously get going in CO and/or stay far enough south to play dryline if it appears to be the better place whether or not anything ejects over the Rocky Mtns. I am going to start off in Perrytown, TX.
