I hope this is the right place for this.... I just started trying to learn how to read the different charts on the spc site for forecasting. I just looked at the model from the 16z reading. If I see this right, is the trough considered a negative tilt? and based on the readings of the different wind levels 850,500-700 and 300mb doesn't it show a small amount of shear in the nw area of ok. and the sw area in ks? Also, based on the temp/dewpoint readings does this area have a slight chance of quick firing storms with some rotation/very weak tornadoes? then it will turn into a squall line? Also, the latest sounds from DDC show the cap is between the 850 and 700mb areas, and the temps are steady because of the cloud cover? Please let me know if I'm even close ! thanks
