• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING FOR GOODHUE COUNTY IN MINNESOTA UNTIL 2145Z. AT 2115Z THERE WAS AN UNCONFIRMED REPORT OF A WEAK TORNADO PICKING UP DUST WHILE CROSSING AN OPEN FIELD 2 MILES SOUTHEAST OF WANAMINGO AND RELAYED BY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. THE WARNED CELL IS TRACKING TO THE EAST AT 25MPH. THOSE IN THE PATH OF THIS DANGEROUS STORM NEED TO TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

I am glad I did not go into Iowa. That area just did not look as good to me. In real life though I probably would have chased Iowa since money is an issue for me. I am also glad I did not go after the nice looking storm in NE Kansas. The tail end storm in Kansas may have a hook on radar. I will stay with it and hope it produces soon.

I know what day this is. I am in almost the same spot I was in on this actual event. I have a graphic I drew up of how a storm cycled that day and I will post it after the event is made known.

I believe I know this date so just keep me on the tail end storms in southern KS and I will step out of this case.

Well the cell I'm on in sw IA looks impressive on satellite. Hoping that the comma head on the northern end of the line will produce but nothing yet.

Moving to intercept the southern most cell in that line in the Texas Panhandle... nice boundary visible on satellite with these cells. If anything starts forming south of the cell I want to intercept, I may have to break off and keep going south.

Alright, I didn't get back to this chase case today. Woke up kind of late and had a slow start today ;)

I like the backed winds in Fairbault, and the best vis satellite blow up is in Southern Minnesota.. So consider me heading still north into Southern MN, let's say Fairbault, MN but in actuality I would be looking at the radar and getting on the 'best storm'

Edit: Aric had said something about Goodhue county, but I just saw 21Z update and looked up where the tornado warning was.. I wouldn't say I scored that, but I'm definitely in pursuit of that storm at 21Z, and could easily catch up with it only moving 25mph east.

One more edit: If anything, maybe there's baseballs or something I can core with this. Looks like the show is down in that PDS box though. Oh well, I'd rather bust in Minnesota than Iowa that's for sure ;)

Great shear profiles on profiler....looks like it's time to target a supercell on the boundary. Am headed west out Pratt and can see several supercell anvils to my west and southwest. Looks like I am headed for an intercept in/near Buffalo in Harper Co. OK.
