Strong to severe thunderstorms are occuring and continue to fire up in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. A bow echo was looking promising, but seemed to blow apart.

Strong storms are also firing up over Lake Michigan and moving east towards Muskegon/Grand Rapids.

The SPC has placed all of S. Wisconsin and Michigan in a slight risk for damaging winds and large hail and a blue box is in effect for central and eastern WI.

Anybody else chasing today or care to shed some more info on what you think this event will be?

Edit: BLUE BOX SOON TO BE ISSUED FOR MI LP

Nothing happening in the way of directional shear. I'd be very surprised if it amounts to anything more than a big old Michigan-style squall line. I'll be glad to get it because I love thunder, lightning, and wind, but at this point I doubt I'll be doing any chasing.

Anybody following the supercell se of Rapid City? Very impressive appearance on radar.
