Tornado report already for Panhandle:
--
DUKE FIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT AT EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE REPORTS A TORNADO ON THE GROUND. (MOB)
--
Some incredible 0-1 SR helicity values--850
good CAPE over the water up to 3000 along with the high supercell composite rating, sig tor values etc. but still looks to be weak CAPE over land. Time will tell. Looks like a difficult setup for chasing with all the rain out in the panhandle now.
*0-1 SR helicity up over 1000 in GA.
**nice little presentation here:

It looks like there is a small hook echo up near Eatonton thats TOR warned. The warning further south on the line looks like a circulation that formed between a kink in the convective bands. Both areas look pretty embedded so I don't know how many visual reports we'll get. Any tornado reports that come in will probably be based on damage.

New tornado warnings out again in Georgia. SPC indicating more watches may be issued later to include the Carolinas as well.

My chase buddies, Bill and Tom Oosterbaan, arrived in Tampa today with their families for vacation. What a great way to start! The line, with what appear to be some embedded supes, is about 90 miles offshore right now, and Tampa is presently sitting in 1 km helicities in the order of 250-300. Probably a night-time show for the lads, but it sure beats anything going on back here in Michigan.

Hey Bob, I'm afraid Tom and Bill are going to have a lot of rain the next few days in Sunny FL . . . no clearing till Sunday. But it's not snow right? Looks like there is some decent SB CAPE after all now with levels up to 2000 or so.
Helicity isn't so astronomical as before but still looks good. Lapse rates don't seem impressive though as is typical in FL it seems, and tops are low so far, nothing like the towers of summer and early Fall. Getting some moisture now--a little shower outside. SPC reports mention some possible tornados in GA earlier. I'm stuck at work till about 6 PM, so better at least be a nice lightning show later with unusually strong wind when that squall line comes.
*now it looks like the better CAPE is going to be down in S. FL which doesn't have the high helicity, so pretty much what people expected: high shear/low CAPE where action is.

Nice isltd supercell oversea moving NNE, Oak island, NC could be under the gun in 30-45 minutes.

Edit: Another big mamma west of KLTX, this one could be nasty... Exhibit low level outflow as for now but very powerful mid-level rotation... We'll see how it goes...

Fairly strong couplet on a cell embedded in the precip north of Wilmington, NC with a tornado warning.
