stupid question Ed, but how do you get your images to post without a link?

I'm not sure if this is my best shot to date but this is one I'm quite happy with! I caught it last monday night (27th of June) in Western France. By watching the picture at 100% I can see this bolt has ten striking points on the ground.

Last year I've had the chance to see this beautiful storm just a few miles from my place in Lyon (second biggest city in France) and took a picture of a nice close bolt.

One of my favourite is this picture from a very isolated and small storm near the french Alps. It was taken on the 16th of August, 2011.

Very nice shots in here everyone.

My favorite lighting photos are 35mm film EOS 1N.

Love the lucky framing I got here:

This was the night of the Eastern NE "landcane" from a few years back:

This was my first ever lightning shot on crappy digital camera with 4 second shutter & no tripod:

An example of how hectic shooting lightning can be.. started raining big drops and I left the cable release locked.

But even worse was leaving the cable release on the roof during the next shot and driving away. Was searching for it when I spotted it but a semi was barreling towards me...

Still worked and I continued using it for several months, jabbing my hand with every use.

I'm not surprised the remote still worked. It's a very simple device that simply completes a circuit. Canon is ripping everyone off at $60 a pop.

I followed this storm from St. Cloud to Buffalo MN, rapidly clearing skies behind the updraft made for a nice setup to do some lightning photos.

Drove 4 hours around the desert near Tucson tonight shooting lightning and sunset photos, then about 5 minutes after getting home, I grab this shot... from my porch.

I am still 100% newb and just started taking lightning pics but i do have a couple. I have learned very quickly that i need a tripod and that focusing can be a real pain.

I took this one on my first night out, it is a little bit out of focus and the horizon isn't level but i think it is still the best i have taken.

Last saturday i went to a trace adkins concert when a little tornado warned cell passed over us, while everybody was hiding in there cars i watched some great sparks. I think i actually like this one a little bit more because of the blurred background. I do need a tripod though.

Well, i finally got the chance to test out the lighting trigger Wednesday night. First storm I've had that I've been near that actually put out some decent cloud to ground lighting that I was able to photograph. Lightning was still pretty far, but the lighting trigger worked pretty good, can't wait to get some better storms with more frequent lightning that's closer.
