• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Live Chase Streaming

CTV would not be really excited about "AdSense" or referal ads because of agreements and rules regarding amount of ads on a page.

We WOULD be VERY supportive of ads to sell your own DVD's or Photography on your video page.

Below the video module on each ChaserTV page each chaser can either use the embedded "Word Like" editor or use straight HTML to put up content of their choosing.

There are MANY uses such as embedding YouTube videos or even your own site via an iframe.

This area could also be used for your own chat client, I hope to integrate the SpotterChat system into the CTV pages next year.

Here's a problem that had me tearing my hair out today, that I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced and has an answer for. I signed up for ChaserTV and qualified for Spotter Network and hooked up a newly purchased Microsoft LifeCam Studio webcam. Configured Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 and tried it out in the house on my home network. Streaming to ChaserTV worked fine, other than the mapping since I didn't have GPS hooked up in the house.

Then I took the whole setup out to my truck, connecting the GPS (via Franson GPSGate) and connecting to the Internet via my Verizon air card. This time, however, when I tried to connect to ChaserTV via Flash MLE I got a long hourglass, then finally a message stating that either the server was down or I didn't have an Internet connection (which I did have, since I was able to connect to websites via my browser). I checked the Flash MLE settings with ChaserTV's info and everything matched.

No amount of reboots, program restarts, etc., could rectify the problem. Again, has anyone else encountered this problem and know of a solution? Thanks, in advance, for any assistance!

Hey Dave I did some poking around and found there was an issue with the the flash server, its working now.

Remember you can get help from the support desk just about any time.

Send an email to [email protected]
Or stop by www.spotterchat.org where most people in there know something about whats going on :)

Don't pull your hair out... we can help!

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks, Scott, I will be working on it again today. Hopefully, things will go well. I posted here rather than bothering you guys, as I really thought I was screwing something up since everything had worked earlier. I will keep your offer in mind, however. Thanks again for the response!

I'm having problems trying to get my new Go Pro camera to be recognized by Adobe Flash Encoder...was hoping someone who's successfully pulled this off could chime in with what software/hardware they are using? I just can't seem to figure it out...and I am on the newest firmware!

Have you tried 'Webcam Max'? Thats what I use to stream with my Sony Handycam on ChaserTV and it works great!
