GFS/Canadian Model Forecasted Development??

I found the 00 and 06Z runs of the GFS model and the Canadian model interesting. Both models forecast development of a low pressure system (non-tropical/sub-tropical/tropical??) in the Gulf of Mexico later next week. Based on the modeled shear forecasts, it looks it would be non-tropical or perhaps sub-tropical.

Thoughts??
