Could Katrina's Wind Speed Increase Before Landfall?

Katrina is currently at 175 mph sustained with gusts of 215 mph. It still has a way to go before reaching land. What are the chances of this monster reaching 190 mph surface winds-or heaven forbid-200 mph surface winds?

I seem to remember a hurricane hitting the U.S. with 200 mph surface winds. Am I mistaken?
