...TORNADO TOUCHDOWN ACROSS SHANNON COUNTY...
A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STORM SURVEY DETERMINED THAT A WEAK TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN AROUND 4 PM ON FEBRUARY 16TH...TWO MILES NORTH OF ROUND SPRING IN SHANNON COUNTY. THE DAMAGE PATH WAS IN A RURAL AREA WHERE DOWNED TREES WERE THE ONLY SIGNS OF DAMAGE. THE TORNADO PATH WAS 100 YARDS WIDE AND 300 YARDS LONG AND WAS RATED F0.
THE STORM SURVEY TEAM IS CONTINUING TO SURVEY DAMAGE IN TEXAS AND WRIGHT COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS WILL BE RELEASED AS NEEDED.
