The NWS in Springfield, MO has confirmed at least one tornado north of Springfield yesterday. This one occurred at 7:11 PM 1 mile south of Brighton in Polk County:
NWS STORM SURVEY TEAM HAS DETERMINED THAT AN EF-1 TORNADO
TOUCHED DOWN 1 MILE SOUTH OF BRIGHTON. THE PATH OF THE
TORNADO WAS APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE LONG AND 200 YARDS WIDE.
TWO OUT BUILDINGS WERE DESTROYED AND AN ADDITIONAL OUT
BUILDING AND HOUSE WERE MODERATELY DAMAGED.
KY3-TV in Springfield also reported that viewers near Wheatland, MO saw a tornado in Hickory County and the NWS reported the damage as a possible tornado. I have not yet been able to find any photos of tornadoes with these storms, however. Perhaps pictures will surface in the coming days.
