Close video of a New Zealand tornado

Saw this linked on FARK -- according to the video, this happened on May 3. Nice anticyclonic (is that normal for southern hemisphere storms?) drill-bit crossing the road less than half a mile from the guy holding the camera.

Thank you for the link. It's really weird to see the cars continue on right into the tornado as if nothing is happening.

The tornado is cyclonic, it's just that cyclones rotate clockwise in the southern hemisphere.

Thanks for pointing me over there -- that's a better place for a thread like that, I just am not used to seeing non US tornadoes events reported in the post storm discussion area, so I didn't look there first.
