• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Chase Case #13

Just coming into Petersburg, ND, at 22:30 and managed to get a radar. The laptop is a little hard to read on the road but I think I see a very interesting cell just appearing to the west-southwest of Devil's Lake. So far so good me thinks.

2245z and no development...hmmmm. Subsidence behind the main wave moving into the W. Great Lakes and Ontario??!! Guess we'll see. Tornado time is approaching and things need to get after it even if things stay light longer this far north. Any thoughts Mr. Revering ??

Yes, that is the deal. Subsidence behind the first wave is the problem. I just realized that myself after the IR Satellite we just looked at. I am racing to the NW on 94 to get to the Canadian border by 9 pm, that gives me 1 or 1.5 hours of daylight to chase around Grand Forks.

Wow, some decent convection back in wc KS along the DL, and very high Tds over central IA. Also 89/61 in sw SD seems out of place. I'm sticking to my guns and waiting up here near Grand Forks, ND until I see something that makes me want to move.

2230z: 89/61 maybe not so out of place - nice cells there in w SD. Looks like things could be starting to develop in nc/ne ND. I think I'll move about 30 min drive w toward Larimore, ND.

I appreciate the offer Dan, but it wouldn't be fair to put me in Fargo. I should be there by 2350Z at 100mph. I would like to be in Grand Forks by 01Z. If you would like to update me on the wayfaring map next update as being in Fargo, that would be cool. . .

Just hopping into the live chase, was in Fairmont MN now Im just dipping down into the Emmetsburg IA area and ready to east for home if something doesnt happen in this area. I was too far out of position now to head up north where I would like to be so no big deal, if none of this ever turns into anything then I have a nice short drive home.

Latest SFC shows something interesting happening inv of the Twin Cities. The Twin Cities ob has gone northeasterly with SSW flow to the south and ESE flow to the east. SFC convergence is excellent at this point and hopefully something will pop within 50 miles of the Twin Cities soon! If not...I'm stopping to catch the Twins game :)

I have the flashing yellow beacon on the roof, and believe it or not I have a highway patrol escort on hwy 94. He pulled me over, I told him what was up, and I also told him I was a Vikings fan. He offered an escort in his supercharged mustang. Currently got it pegged at 125mph, should be in Grand Forks by 9 p.m., and I am gonna keep plugging all the way to the Canadian border. I am going to do some dusk chasing south of Winnepeg. Thank you Minnesota Highway Patrol!!!

23z: Wow, I'm not keeping up with the updates very well. 85/84 near Jamestown, ND! Can this be correct? Arriving near Larimore, ND, I'm racing w toward Devil's Lake to intercept whatever I can reach or develops in the area in the mean time. Unfortunately, I'm at least an hour away and might not be far enough north by the time I reach. I hope something goes up between here and there in the mean time.

hmm, for some reason I thought Chase Case #14 was having the live chase, but I was wrong. No matter, I can leave home now and still be in great position. I'm heading southwest of my home in New Brighton, MN and heading towards BELLE PLAINE, MN, hoping for something off of that OFB.

No, I posted an note at the beginning of #14 to alert everyone that Dann was going live on his. Sorry if that confused some of you. . .

WOOT!! CI just west of the Twin Cities in the area of enhanced surface convergence, the chase is on!!

PS Dann, love the Vanilla Ice reference as your signature :)

2315z: Still heading w toward Devils Lake, ND. Nice cell popping in sc MN for all waiting around down there.
