While I am probably going to sound monotonous, perhaps it would be useful for Tim to find another person to help him administrate the board?

Well, I'll be to a point: the email sounds more like he just doesn't value ST enough to care. I know that's harsh, but his absence is more than just about log-in issues and advertising. I can understand being busy, but you don't completely walk away unless you have a reason (like physically not being able to). It takes all of 60 seconds to log in and let the membership know that he is busy instead of leaving members, and folks like Gordon in limbo. Not cool in my book.

Of course I'll wait for TimV's post that is forthcoming for final judgment, but there have been folks that have come forward in the past about taking some of the duties off his hands...and them some.

Tim responded and posted proper banner
Thanks everyone

Well he put up a banner . One from 2 years ago! I paid my web designer for a brand new design . This was sent in . Not impressed right now . Tim get it together man. I have been a long time advertiser here and member of the forums . Not really happy with the level of service. I realize everyone goes through crap at times that makes it hard to deal with obligations . Give another mod the responsibility to deal with such issues in your absence

Gordon, I immediately fixed your problem this morning when I woke up.... for whatever reason, the attachment was not in that earlier email.

That's the moderator team, by design. Straight from the FAQ: the Moderator team serves the Administrator's delegated representative. The advertiser relations do go beyond the bounds of what the moderators can handle and I did drop the ball on this, but getting this straightened out is my problem to deal with. We have some issues with our MX domain records that have caused some mail issues and I am trying to get this straightened out.

All in all, though, I came in here to get things back on track and recap the problems I have had to deal with that resulted in this absence, but to come back here and read some of the comments in this thread I'm pissed off and really don't want to have anything to do with this conversation aside from addressing technical problems.

The banner was attached to original email . I resent to you this morning and it is fixed. Issue solved as far as I am concerned . Hope you are not pissed at me Tim. I have conducted myself in a professional manner and did my best to resolve my issues . And merely kept others informed of the situation , looked for some guidance and never spoke badly of you at any time .

Even though I closed the paypal claim as resolved . I just received a full refund . I am now confused . Tim was that on purpose . Are you canceling my advertising?

Not sure what you were expecting after weeks of abandoning the members, moderators and advertisers (aside from questions raised with unfilled book orders and more). I think we were all willing to understand if you were simply having medical issues or legal issues, marriage issues....whatever. But some people paid for their membership and those that paid for advertising have an expectation of service. I just hope it wasn't a matter of being too busy. You do have a responsibility not only to the members here but to David Hoadley and Tim Marshall to keep the Stormtrack name is good standing and continue the legacy of stormtrack.

I think the primary issue has been that some users have been bringing issues to the moderators and the moderators have been saying, essentially, "Yes, that's broken, but I can't fix that, only Tim can, but he's not answering our emails." If the moderators also have access to administrative functions of the board, then I (and your moderators) stand corrected.

There have been several threads in various parts of the board (including this one) where users have voiced issues that apparently only administrative intervention would help. I point this out only to highlight that whatever users have been saying, they haven't been saying it to anger you.

Comments in this thread may be more fully understood in the context of this thread, which was started on 3/4. Don't know if that will help the pissed-off-ish-ness or make it worse, though.

Just to let you all know . Tim has given me this advertising period for free because of the screw ups . Pretty darn honorable thing to do . I am sure when his chaos is over he will make things right for everyone ,

Thank You Tim
