5/22/07 FCST: TX / OK / KS / NE / SD

Currently in Hoxie, Kansas and over the last hour two things have happened - the cumulus has morphed into congestus towers ( still weak but definate transition ). The other is a clear boundary is now visible to the west, with very little CU, therefore a little NE feels right from the visual perspective.

Recently arrived in Wakeeney, KS with Mike Kruze and Geoff Fink. Cu field continues to maintain/develop slightly just west and southwest of our location, INVOF Oberlin/Garden City corridor. Appears from visual observation that we have a little cap erosion left to do, as small cumulus buildups are beginning to wax and wane, struggling against said cap, but a nice llvl kinematic environment has set up just to our east, and storms should strengthen quickly after initiation occurs.

I am hoping the cap holds further south and prevents interference from additional convection, but road options out of Wakeeney would allow for fairly quick repositioning should that be the case. Good luck to everyone out today.
