• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

This could be one of those huge CAPE low shear sleeper days.

Plentiful moisture this morning as low 70 Tds extend to the OK/KS border and then upper 60s up through Nebraska.

If you could teleport, head up to Nebraska for your best chances. You have some upper support.

Down south along the DL/Front you could still get lucky though. I would expect explosive development by this afternoon as we are already sitting on >4,000 j/kg of SBCAPE and 3000 MLCAPE.

There is just enough bulk shear to get some marginal supercells in KS and OK. And with the explosive development we could get a brief window 1-2 hour to get a tornado.

Im going to sit tight and see where the storms form. If they form just off to my west they should be easy to keep up with, just east and it will make it a little more difficult. This is for my current location. Not great, but it gives me something to do.1683911665990.png

I gotta say... I know the upper support isn't great in OK, but I really thought with 5000 sbCape and 4000 mlCape per the OUN sounding that these storms would have a little more pop to them. Still lots of time left, but so far I am not impressed.

But... I do still love me a nice big CAPE sounding

I almost intercepted the first cell of the day on my bicycle. It developed rapidly. Then it just fizzled. Plenty of available CAPE and sounding looks decent. It just flat out died. There is another one coming as I speak that looks better. We will see what this one brings.
