I posted it in the other thread unknowing that this one has started but....

The funnel cloud was observed.
Large funnel cloud was observed on the ground. Very serious damages. Source: TVN24 - news

From the Estofex site Bill Hark provided in the other thread. I asked it there I will ask it, anyone know of any radar sites off hand from that area?

I was about to start a thread. Anyway, ongoing severe storm and tornado outbreak across Poland and parts of Eastern Europe. I did find this link to Polish media with some damage images and a ?rooftop cam. Babelfish doesn't have Polish-English translation.

I am saddened about the reports of lives lost and damage. Does anyone have radar links or data? There are a number of European chasers. I know Klipsi was going to chase as of two days ago. I hope to see some other reports.

Hi all,

unfortunately, the site of the Polish national weather service seems to be down right now. Anyway, should it come back online later on, here´s the link:

http://www.imgw.pl/wl/internet/zz/english/weather/radar/radar_en.html

Note that it´s a composite image with loops, no Doppler data are freely available as far as I know. It would be interesting to know if the Polish weather service had any kind of watch or warning out. The french wx service (Météo France) didn´t a few days ago when the town of Hautmont got struck by an F4.

And here are some more images from the damage in Poland (link to the site where all of the pics shown by Martin North can be seen):

http://www.nto.pl/apps/pbcs.dll/tng...GALERIA&ArtNo=797122456&Ref=PH&Params=Start=1

Dewpoints have been very high in parts of sern Poland and Slovakia with values between 21 and 23C, which is a rare occurrence in ctrl EUR.

Later,
Lars

I am also saddened to hear about the loss of life and property. As soon as I heard about this I turned my TV to TVP Info, a Polish news channel and this has been showing live shots from lightning too + storm damage. I am watching this system with a great concern, since it is expected to arrive to my area tomorrow.

Some storm reports from Europe from this severe weather situation.
Please Note that this event was correctly predicted by www.estofex.org

A long tracked tornado 100km, 60 miles (not yet verified) occurred over Poland today – reports of 6 dead with over 100 injured.

Prior to this a separate storm produced hail to 8.5cm, 3.5 inch (Grapefruit Size) over South Poland.
