  • After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I posted a couple favorite images several pages back in this thread, but since then I got a few more, and this is one that I like from the other night(7-15-10) near Nashville, IL.

Seen so many great photos on this thread so far. Jim Saueressig's shot of that green plasma(?) above the anvil a couple of pages back (post #79/bottom photo) is both cool and unusual. Never seen a shot like that before!
Me like-ee . . .

Not to be a debbie downer but the thread title is best lightning shot to date, it seems like a majority of people's pictures are from 2010 only... like a few have their 4 best pictures all from 2010. I Just would like to see their "career trophy pics" I think this is what the thread was aiming for but thats just from looking at the title. So I am left to assuming a good amount of the posters have only shot lightning in 2010.

These are my best ever, actually.

Mods: May need a change to the title since "Debbie Downer" is having issues with it! :D

While yes, I originally named it best lightning shot to date, people are proud of those shots that don't come by to often, and they would like to share them. I for one posted a couple more shots of mine that I was reminded of, after looking at some of the other great lightning shots from other members. And just to clear things up a bit....

All of these photos of mine, with exception to the image I posted last night, were shot last year....Not this year. :D

EDIT: Was thinking that maybe just a title of "Lightning Photography" would be a better fit, for this thread.
