• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

YOUR BEST 2010 Storm Photographs

Didn't capture anything spectacular but had a great time in my first season of chasing. I was only able to get out once in June then a couple more times in July and August so I missed the best of Colorado's magic but here are what I'd consider my best ;):

Supercell near Fort Morgan, CO (looking SW) - 6/11/2010:

My first tornado (albeit a rope:)) near Brush, CO - 8/16/2010:

Storm going HP as it crosses into W Nebraska - 8/4/2010:

Awesome colors as storms push east over NE Colorado - 8/9/2010:

And finally a couple beautiful sunsets following storms in NE Colorado - 7/21/2010 and 8/9/2010:

Here's a few shots from this year...

Tornadoes in Southern Wisconsin on one of the biggest surprise days of the year for me. Almost drove into a tornado near Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin that day during a core punch.

My photography isn't a strong point of mine, as all of my photos are taken with my phone, though it's what I can afford to do.

Nice, George! I was in Norman taking a math test the day of the Poplar Grove pics... Freaking out the entire day. I grew up in Rockford, and got a call from my dad telling me he just saw a tornado touch down outside of town. My mom was working and the circulation went over them, and her ears were popping. Touched down about a minute later.

No tornadoes in my photos...hoping for better luck in 2011...but these are my favorites of 2010:

What better way to post my first message than share a few glory shots from 2010! Overall, I had a great year in Colorado, but it's difficult to beat Campo, CO, so I'll share pics from that day.

The three tornado pics are from Campo on May 31st. The lightning picture is from my balcony.

Wow! Your Billings thunderhead is one of the most spectacular I've ever seen either through photography or in person - through 56 years of observation.

Ok, I can't compete with many of you as I couldn't go to Campo, or to South Dakota or to Minnesota this year but I intercepted two nice supercells in my neck of the woods;)

Great shots Verne! I was chasing that cell on June 7 that went through Scottsbluff. I didn't see the tornado though because I was caught in the core. The second photo is of a cell north of Torrington, WY that same day.

I finished going through all the photos from this year. Here are some of the good ones:

The next four are from June 17, Southern Minnesota.

I mainly focus on video, so I don't even own a good still photography camera, but here are a few video stills from some of my better chases this summer. The first three photos are from Limon, CO in June, and the last few stills are from the June 17th insanity in southern Minnesota.

Feels kinda pointless even bothering, having missed Campo and the Bowdle wedge. Here are a few highlights nonetheless.

Unlike my previous few years, 2010 was full of regrets on how I handled a storm once I was on it, as opposed to just picking the wrong storm or target area. I think both are equally frustrating in different ways.

EDIT: I just perused everyone else's shots, and all I have to say is... I hope you lucky %@#%@#'s who were out on May 31 realize the magnitude of what you saw! I've spent a lot of time looking at tornado photos and video, and Campo is easily the most photogenic ever captured in the modern chasing era, IMO.
