YOUR BEST 2010 Storm Photographs

Well here are mine. I chased three times, totaled two cars, and got three great shots. Comments welcome! All are from within 50 miles of Denver.

First off, there's some absolutely stunning photos in this thread. There's way too many to individually compliment here, so I'll just say many of you guys have come away with some breathtaking shots this year.

Here's a few of my favorite shots from 2010.

May 10 Kingman County Kansas tornado. I love it in black & white.

June 14 HP supercell in western Illinois.

June 21 HP sup near Macomb Illinois. My lack of a wide-angle lens really takes away the incredible view we had of this beast as we approached it from the east.

These pics were all taken with a simple $250 point-and-shoot Kodak camera. No major editing done, just some simple auto-touchup. Some pics had no touch-up done at all. Also it looks like photobucket has reduced the quality for some reason.

May 18, 2010 - Classic supercell near Dalhart, TX. This would spawn several nighttime tornadoes.

QUOTE]

what a great storm that was, we left the Dumas storm as it neared Stinnett and hauled to get there. saw my first 2 night tors with it, I dont have a bad video grab of one of them I could post but I know Dan Cook got a nice picture of it.

That was a great day. Got 3 tornadoes near Dumas plus the 2 night tornadoes. I got a few good pics at night as well using my lightning settings. This was probably the best out of them all. I enhanced the contrast but in reality I didn't need to. I just can't find the original pics of them.

A few pictures I snatched this year...I mean its nothing great compared to what everyone else has around here, but I mean hey its Ohio...and excuse the quality, it was terrible this season, because the camera that I had for the season was broken from my sisters wedding....picture of the car was from the Lake Township/Millbury, OH EF-4 Tornado

2010 was rough for me, as I wasn't able to get out on all the big days and chase every little day, but for the most part, I did well when out. Here are the low-res uploads. These look so much better in Bridge, lol.

Nicely sculpted tornado-warned supercell near Industry, IL, late in its life on June 21

Wakita, OK tornado from due east as it groundscrubs SR11.

Northwesterly flow magic near Vermont, IL on June 4. Easily best structure I've seen in IL.

And, my favorite image from the year:

Wakita, OK tornado again, this time from a bit further south.

Thanks, all, for doing this. In a time when video is such a hot commodity, it's nice to see that so many people still value photographical talent, as well. Kudos to you all on a great year and some breathtaking shots.

Tough to narrow it down to just a few. I'll throw in my contributions:

Ground-scraper north of Alanreed, TX on April 22nd. Look, I've seen a lot of wallclouds, but this thing was truly a sight to see.

My photography isn't a strong point of mine, as all of my photos are taken with my phone, though it's what I can afford to do.
