Here are photographs and my account of the 3-7-09 event at Hutchinson, Kansas. Stephen Locke the Tempest Gallery. I have set the intention to keep this blog current through the chase season. I will not report when my cat has kittens end of the month. I only intend to post an account when the chase yields at least one successful still image.

It's new . . . judgements, criticism and commentary are welcome in this thread.

STUNNING captures: now why can't my lightning shots turn out as beautiful? Jealous? A bit. But, then again, have something to aspire to. Any hints? (I have a little point and shoot digital, 8.2 mp.) Will be looking up your site frequently.

I totally agree with Jeff Richardson, I love the black and white pictures. But i have a couple questions: Why did you go with B&W instead of color? Is it like a trademark thing, or what? Just wondering.

Karla, Not sure if I have any hints. Maybe photography is like poetry. You learn by doing. Just put the pencil to paper and allow the process to unfold.
Take lots of bad pictures . . . those are the ones that teach you.

Maggie, Regarding black and white vs color; It's just a matter of style. Some like black and white some don't. I like the sculptural quality of black and white.
