Not entirely sure what section to post this in - not quite enough severe for TA, but only partially winter-weather related. So posting it here. Mods, feel free to move if you think it fits better somewhere else. On Saturday, May 11, I experienced both a hailstorm at home and then a successful thundersnow chase in the Wolf Creek Pass area in Colorado. Although it was less at my house, hail accumulated up to 3 inches deep in parts of Pagosa Springs, pea to dime size. Here is a short version of my thundersnow video, taken at the Wolf Creek Ski Area:

A full chase report, with a longer thundersnow video, video of the hail at my house, and a number of photos, can be seen at:

How cool.

I've had days where "nature can't make up its mind" .. where we get a bit of everything sun/rain/sleet/snow/hail. Those days are kinda fun, especially because its multiple separate little "storms"

Thundersnow on the other hand, thats extremely rare here :( only ever seen it happen a couple times.
