Spring is in the air

I was outside while at work Monday morning during the transition from rain to snow and saw a flock of geese heading north. Just before they got directly overhead they apparently thought the same as me, which is "not quite yet" because they suddenly turned and headed back south. :(

well the past few morning i have heard birds chirping, so spring maybe coming soon. Though i could just be wishing i heard birds chirping or someone is playing a joke on me!

I'm not sure Canadian Geese are a good measure of Spring's return. Every Winter, more and more of them stay put due to people feeding them, be it inadvertently or intentionally. I've seen flocks of them flying N, S, E, and W all over my area, probably just locally migrating to different lakes and ponds that are around.

By the looks of the trends on some of the long range solutions, it may be one of those Springs here with vast temperature swings and maybe a significant snowfall or two. Strong Systems lined up one after another, they're all forecast to dig pretty far south.

Something for the Southern Plains to dream about, wonder how much a flight to DFW costs...

T minus 12 hours and counting.... ;)
On the walk home from school, I saw daffodils and pansies in bloom, as far as wild flowers go, the dandelions, the catmint and some kind of very tiny blue flowers are blooming. One of the few remaining Bradford pears is trying to bud.
And the models for Sunday don't look too bad.....:D

it'd be nice to think about spring, but i'm banging my head on the desk because i dont see temps getting much above 35° for the next 10 days.

I think we're going to nip 70º tomorrow here in Denver for the first time this year. Rest assured we'll see the first fajita and margarita party on the deck tomorrow before the sun goes down!

Well it did get to around 40 degrees yesterday with a high of 45-46 forecasted for today with rain. (Central Iowa)

That should melt alot of our snow away. The sun is staying out longer and the sun rays feel warmer. Plus March 1st has come so I am feeling spring outside.

I have seen snow storms as late as Easter so I am sure we may still be in for some Wintery weather but it should stay alot warmer now and melt any new snow we recieve.

Well, it's supposed to get to about 75 here today, along with the wind blowing like crazy. I suppose that's as good a start to spring as anything.

Rain and a high of 46 tomorrow will reduce the 8â€￾ snow depth here but highs in the 30’s next week combined with more snow will push that 1st taste of spring even further into the year…not to mention that 1st round of golf.:(

Record high was broken here in Denver today. Old record was 73, and the temp hit 74 at 1:54pm MT. First day of 2008 for shorts, t-shirts, and a spin on the mtn bike.
