Spring Break for those of us still in school starts at the end of this week and runs through easter weekend. I was curious as to what the prospects are for a chaseable break. Im not asking for specific days or places but if any of you see a pattern that is conducive to severe weather.

I have Spring Break off at the same time and it looks to me like we are going into some sort of an active pattern but the GFS is all over the place, however it hints at an active pattern none the less.

Different spring break here; last week of March ... I asked work today if I could keep a 'liberal' schedule ... and they were cool with it. Gotta love working with other weathersexuals. ... they just seem to understand.

Wow - That's it!

Aifares and rental cars in S Florida shot up to nearly $500 (nearly $1000 total) for the weekends in mid-march.

Normally it's $150 for the R/T ticket and another $130 for the weekend car rental (from Chicago to MIA or FLL).

Yet, on the plane, a 19 year-old dude was bragging about how he paid $200 for both him and his G/F - Argh!!

Frustrating when you LIVE there and have to visit for business / family ;-(

For chasing ... Prices will be jacked-up ... so be ready.

I'm quite ecstatic because I get 10 days off for Spring Break this year! :)
My Spring Break is March 19th-30th, so I have a nice window to chase in. As previously mentioned, it appears we are going to be transitioning into a pretty active spring pattern during this period. I would be just fine with being able to chase a solid outbreak or two during Spring Break... however if the strong surface low/trough do indeed move into the Central/Southern Plains as advertised by the GFS on the 17th, I may just come down with a nasty case of chase induced influenza and since I'm over 18 now, I can call myself in sick... ah, the perks of adulthood ;)

It's a total die roll for Spring Break (MP, you share the same days off). The GPS is, indeed, so scattered that it actually lives up to the typical confusion of Darrow's long-term forecasting this time around.

sping break

Gfs is all over the place but for now looks good for 3/17-18 if the moisture come threw and everything holds together.

I have Spring Break this week, but I am afraid I will have little chase opportunity. Unless something pans out on Monday, I will have to wait and hope I get a chance later on.

By the way, hi all and glad to be part of the forum.
