See I've been somewhat out of commission for three years. Since being diagnosed with Kidney Failure in April of 2005, I haven't had much chance to chase. I did venture out 2006 with tons of dialysis supplies, but then I hit the ridges. I waited around to depart DC and finally got sick of waiting. Chased two days out of two weeks (of the original four weeks planned), gave up and came home.
Then the hurricane season the past two years have been uneventful for the US. And being on dialysis, couldn't go to the islands or Mexico.
BUT, thank god I got my new kidney's during Thanksgiving. Still recovering, but I should be in shape for May. Now, I just got to get back to work so I can earn enough to pay for the $4 (+/-) per gallon gas prices likely to hit this season.
All the best! I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you out in the alley this spring
As far as my SDS, oh yeah....it kicks into high gear every year around this time. Over the last week I've watched Dave Lewison's chase highlights 2002-2003, Cloud 9 Tours Highlights from 04' & 05' and a ton of other misc video that I have collected over the years including the Tornado Video Projects, Weather Permitting, Shane Adams highlights, Tim Marshall's 1981-83 highlights (still one of my favorites of all time!) and several others!
Maybe a good blizzard here will take the edge off a bit....
LOL it is bad, but still not that bad. Although medics ain't helping at all...maybe I need a new doctor I just wanted to show how I hate winter. Is your SDS good this year?
As Scott already said, I guess at least a good snow blizzard would make it a bit better than this lousy winter here...no precipitation, no snow, nothing...only dry cold But on the other way this winter/SDS time is the best time to study more about meteorology and be better prepared to the upcoming season.
I have serious SDS...ever since 06 since I didn't see much in 07 (just a wall cloud for a few mins). But tonight I am relieving my SDS by enjoying the winter weather...going skiing :-D

Mmmm...It's bad and probably even more than last years when I was pretty sure that I had to go to Tornado Alley on may; this year I'm not so sure to go because I could graduate on the university on march or july, so I have still to decide what to do.
Anyway when I feel bad I listen to Mario Biondi or Dreamtheater and I feel better
I normally use football to get me through the fall and early winter. Gives me something to get excited about and look forward to when there are no chasing opportunities. However, both my college and NFL teams are done and it's been so long since the spring that I'm starting to get restless . I'll just have to put in an extra effort in school so those days that..... I happen to miss.... in the spring.....because of something..... hopefully won't be too big of a deal.
