ROTATE - 2006

I was on the DOW page looking around and saw this status for ROTATE - 2006:

20 Jan 2006: Early planning is underway for ROTATE-2006. At this time, the project, its scope, and timing are uncertain due to funding issues.

I hope they get the funding that they need. Does anyone have any updated information?

Meanwhile, the International H2O Project (IHOP) Experiment is the subject of the entire January issue of Monthly Weather Review, which has many papers that look very promising on convective initiation, dry lines, severe convective storms in general, etc: http://ams.allenpress.com/amsonline/?reque...ume=134&issue=1

For those that aren't meteorologists, AMS members, metr students, or otherwise don't have direct access, it should be available through university or public library database services.

It sucks they had to scrap the experiement! I hope they don't have to do the same with VORTEX II.

Yes basically what some folks from TTU told me at the AMS national meeting.
