dont like the mobile skin on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3). trying to enter a reply a couple times and it kept refreshing my screen and erasing my message.

posted a thread in Technical support and noticed something about "waiting for thread moderation approval". never had or needed that before...why do we need it now? Thats pretty obnoxious.

Also tapatalk does not work. on purpose? or just not updated? I'd rather reply and browse via tapatalk from my phone or tablet, its still way easier than this mobile skin. Each user should be able to browse according to how they like. I know not everyone likes tapatalk. But not everyone likes browsing in their phones web browser either.

aside from that, it looks and operates great. looks MUCH better. has a techie feel to it, very aesthetically pleasing, easy on the eyes, but color coordinated perfectly.

Hannah, I'm not sure about Tapatalk, I think that was a plugin unique to the old forum software. I'll check to see if something like it is available for the new one. The moderation queue thing is a bug that is affecting some users. I know Steve and crew are looking into it, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The old server was running VBulletin, this new one is Xenforo. Xenforo has a lot of plugins available so I'm thinking there is probably something similar to Tapatalk out there.

I think the new stuff looks pretty good, it's a lot more responsive but that could be attributed to a new host. Either way, it's definitely a more pleasant experience.

Messed about in chat last night, it doesn't say when someone joins or leaves so people had been talking to me and I had navigated away from the chat for a bit. I don't know if that's configurable or not, but we can't yell "NORM!" unless we see he's entered the room ;)

Just a side note you might already be aware of, there's some links at the bottom right of the page that still make reference to kansascityhost.

Big thanks to all of you who worked hard on this!

I definitely like the update! Still digging through the new content and options. Thanks so much for everyone's hard work. It definitely shows!!

The one minor issue I've had is that my session gets logged out after about 15 minutes. It seems to ignore the "stay logged in" check box.

Also in Chrome, the little "online now" pulse animations don't seemed aligned. Unless this is a brand new forum feature showing which users are on the move. :) online_now.PNG

There have been some minor bugs with the transition, and obviously we are receiving a lot of feedback from users on minor changes, improvements, suggestions, etc., so please do be patient as we wade through all of these and try to address them, as able.

Obviously some requests may not be changeable per the Xenofro software itself, whereas other issues may be able to be addressed through software manipulations, but at any rate as we transition to a new forum platform, there are bound to be some 'staples' from the old forum that will permanently look different on this new one. At any rate, thanks for all of the feedback so far!

So far so good. It has a streamlined feel to it. Of course it's going to take a little bit to get used to as do all new toys but I like what I see so far.

Now that I've spent some time posting and reading I have two comments/questions. What's the best way to add a photo? Also I really miss the hometown listed in the lefthand personal Avatar. It helps when people talk about "the tornado I saw at home" or "left my house for a chase". Other than that - looks great.
