Looks like a dry slot is working its way toward DC.....not sure how this will affect snowfall totals but it would lead me to believe the 30+" possibility is now out the window.
 
Amazing. A winter storm in Ohio where the dry slot didnt move in and cut the predicted snowfall by a half or 2/3! I have yet to go measure it, but it appears we've go 10-12 inches. Perhaps a little more.
 
I went out and measured the snow before starting to shovel. Measured in several places in the back yard and front yard. 14 inches!
 
This event is just crazy cool. This morning people walking all over in the streets. Hardly any cars out. Last night I got trapped on the interstate. The road was passable but I couldn't get off at the exits because there were not plowed. Super fun. Still don't know if the record is in jeopardy, but still a historic event.
