• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Got it, Joe--maps are incredibly improved. And I love the loop icon feature. I'll have to await some convection to see what else you've done. Keep it coming. I've been sharing this with some other droid operators and they are lining up.

Thanks again.

Hi Joe,
after updating to v 2.1 the app crash during startup. The crash happens after download of the GIS data. Phone is Samsung Galaxy s ii, running android 2.3.

Previous version worked OK. I tried deleting the PYKL3 folder on the SD card without any luck. Any ideas ?

Fantastic improvements in this version. Much better map options, more frames in a loop, and additional products. Excellent.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that PYKL3 Radar 2.2 is available for your updating pleasure. Major items include 1,3,Storm total precipitation and user reports of MUCH faster response on the Thunderbolt and other Adreno GPU devices.

Thanks, Joe--got it done. The program is really cruising now--very chaseable radar support. I suspect my fall season in Dixie Alley will be enhanced by PYKL3. Love the maps, by the way.

Yep. My Thunderbolt and I are very happy about the update!

Mine worked great with 2.0 and 2.1 versions, however ever since upgrading to the 2.2 I've been having an issue. When I first launch the program it freezes on "radar acquisition started". Even if you let it wait for 10 mins it won't download anything. Turning the phone off and on won't help either. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the program several times to get it to start working, which is a bit frustrating as I lose all my preferences. Must be some kind of issue with my phone. It's a Samsung galaxy S. I've had no previous issues with the first two versions, so I may try to install the 2.1 again.
