Max Amp Mobile Review By Steve Miller

Setting up a special for all Stormtrack members till christmas. Use Coupon Code Stormtrack for $50 of The MAX AMP Mobile system that Steve reviewed. Web Master should have it set up by Tommorrow.

A review of a mobile cellular booster that doesn't contain a speed test or quantifiable metric is simply anecdotal evidence. If anyone is looking for hard core test results I'd recommend becoming a premium member at RVMobileInternet.com. It costs $45 per year but it'll be the best investment you can make prior to paying for one of these, only to realize you wish you would have done more homework. It's important to me for the members of this community be aware of other test results before making a purchase of this dollar amount. I'm a little baffled that the test results I mentioned have not been brought to light before this, but better late than never.

I will put our device head to head with any devise on the market with Unbiased reviewers. I am very familiar with the Technomadia. folks . We will have a review soon from their mentor a Gentleman named Jack Mayer . His web site is Jackdanmayer.com He is the leading tech expert in the RV community. I will post his review when available . He is doing extensive testing currently. Also of not our device does multiple devices on multiple networks with all devices receiving 100% amplification . Something competing products do not . Something that can come in handy as most are using multiple devices at the same time while chasing.

The testing process isn't supposed to be adversarial in nature Gordon, it's designed to discover, document, and report issues so they can be addressed before production. I'm also clueless as to why you would imply that Chris and Cherie are biased. They're actually trying to help you produce a better product, but sometimes it seems as though this has escaped you somewhere along the line. These folks have bent over backwards to test your new amps and in a timely manner no less. For the record they're currently waiting for your 5th unit to arrive, because the previous 4 have all performed rather dismally as evidenced by the metrics. Their testing methodology is far and away the most well developed I've seen and the methods they use to score the units is head and shoulders above the rest. They've conducted testing at multiple locations using all four major carriers with your amps, and have provided head to head results against all comers. Your product has been given every opportunity to shine, but the test results do not verify.

As to your point about Jack, he has essentially had the better part of this year to test your units but we're still in a holding pattern. He also hasn't updated his website with any new information since November 2015, so it's all there for everyone to see. Who knows, maybe he's just tired of the rat race and doesn't get the same satisfaction as he once did from performing a thankless task. I'm going to leave you with a quote from his website regarding the newer 4G amps and hope that some of what I've said hits home as an alternative point of view that perhaps never occurred to you before now.

With the widespread availability of 4G networks I do not recommend buying a 3G amplifier unless you absolutely need to. Affordable wireless 4G amplifiers are just starting to hit the market. Wilson has a new wireless amp that is currently the best performing of the 4G group. It has interior device distance limitations, though. The best alternative at this point in time is the Wilson Sleek, discussed below. I would wait for the dust to settle on the wireless 4G amps before buying.

They have had 2 units . The first one they had I sent to an engineer of one of the major carriers and his results were no where near theirs and he tests everything .Sorry testing procedures must have been off. They have had the second unit for months and have not gotten around to it . Jack was an excellent cell reception area for the summer so there was no where he could really run it through its paces. he is now in a proper area where he can really test .
My amps have many features the WeBoosts don't have including doing multiple devices on multiple networks with all devices getting full amplification . Greater coverage area . You do not have to be right next to the antenna . Along with far greater sensitivity picking up signals your device does not even see . I offered you a production unit Mark for your testing and you could not be bothered . I am sorry there were problems with the prototype we originally sent you . My engineer hand built that one and there where issues when I sent to you is all he can figure . I apologized to you for that .

And yes my unit is more expensive. There is a reason for that . The same reason BMW's are more expensive than Kia's

Beaver Lake of Northwest Arkansas. Well, well. I'm right there. Have him look me up, and we'll find out. I'm right by there. I actually know where that spot is and have never lost signal even without the amp. It's actually close to town.

Hi james,
Here is the address for the cabin: 1234 County Road 120 Eureka Springs, AR 72631
Prove me wrong, please.
Thanks,

I want to clarify my position as it pertains to Steve's review. It was not my intention to call his review into question or throw him under the bus. No one (including myself) can say his experience with the Max Amp was dubious or not genuine. His testing was carried out to the best of his abilities and in the end he was satisfied with the results and posted his thoughts in his usual candid manner.

Having said that, I've been spoiled (to an extent) by the manner in which Chris and Cherie test and the sheer amount of metrics they provide. When I read a review that lacks that kind of detail it leaves wanting for more. Steve and I have become good friends in rebuilding Stormtrack to its current state and I value that above all else. I am sorry if my words were hurtful in anyway. To restate, if you want more details before making a purchase decision you know where to find them. You just need to be willing to pony up the money to become a member.

And mine isn't meant to be attacking per say. It's just the results that I have had with Verizon and AT&T. I've recently dropped AT&T just because I have yet to lose signal this past chase season with Verizon. But I tested that spot, the other side, and 3 national forests now. BUT, stuff changes I'm sure to some extent every single day. I WANT to test side by side. Just want to truly know. Heck, they might be close. WEBoost boosts every carrier as well. But we don't care. A chaser knows better than to use Sprint, etc. So Steve, PLEASE contact me the next time your close. Even if it's a different spot. There's tons of jungle area here. I'm not a expert tester. I just wanna see the db increase side by side and if the data increase comes along with it. And which one is greater. IF Gordans product is significantly better, I'll buy it. If he ever gets some available. That's working.

They are working great and are available . The Weboost does multiple carriers but not at the same time with all devices receiving 100% amplification . Each unit added the performance diminishes. You are welcome to believe whatever you want. have many customers used Weboost and Ours and report signifigent performance difference. As far as Technomadia goes I will take professional RF engineers opinions over theirs at this point I. I have many reasons too many to list to not trust their testing results.

Hands on is the only true way to analyze the product . Test results from Steve should suffice . But I guess you doubt Steve's honest appraisal . A person you know from these forums. You are welcome to test after you purchase . You have a 15 day trial period . You can return for full refund. If you follow all instructions and install properly I am sure you will get the results that will justify your purchase . One of my problems with Technomadia was not following simple instructions for installation and wanting to set their own . My after sale service is far better than any competitor also answering emails 7 days a week and actually calling back on weekends if there is a problem to troubleshoot and fix the problem .

James, you suggested I'm not truthful about my baseline signal, or lack thereof. Please drive to the location I provided and let us know what you find -or- erase your derogatory post.
