Interesting. Here in southern Idaho, we had a confirmed tornado (NWS) a few days ago, with no warning. I wonder how many confirmed tornadoes are reported across the U.S. where there was no warning?

It depends on the part of the county, but probably 25-35%.

Interesting that the ONLY CWA with no statistics is Seattle, WA.
1. They probably NEVER have issued a warning.
2. I don't think they'd believe a TOR report if they saw it with their own eyes!
There have been many confirmed tornadoes, albeit short-lived and EF2 or less, that have occurred and even caused injury/extensive damage in the last 5 years alone!
They (SEA NWS) have always been impossible to deal with and probably the most frustrating bunch who just leave you shaking your head.

According to IEM they have had 3 ef0 (or weaker) tornadoes and one ef1 in the last 5 years. Hard to get upset about that as most 0's are unwarnable in the first place.

Any photos or more info on that Idaho tornado?

Joel, I haven't seen any pictures, but here is the info that was posted on Pocatello's NWS Facebook page: "If you recall, we told you about a gustnado that occurred north of Mud Lake on Tuesday afternoon. We received a report this morning and confirmed based on radar and pictures, that a separate tornado event occurred in the same general area about 30 minutes or so later that afternoon. Due to its location, no damage appears to have occurred. The gustnado occurred at approximately 3:40pm MDT, and the tornado happened around 4:15pm MDT. "

The intervals for the Topeka, Kansas City, Des Moines and Quad Cities CWAs are also pretty eye-opening. Have no idea what the standard deviation (excuse me, standard anomaly) is for a stat like this, since it resets to zero with just one warning, but it must be pretty large. I don't believe the Kansas City area has even been under a tornado watch so far this season.

I noticed that about the Seattle area also, Billy. At first, thought they had seceded to Canada or something.
