Emergency Storm Spotters Fund
The NASCASTM Storm Spotters Emergency Fund is currently in the planning stages. This fund will be used to support a storm spotter or his/her family in the event of an emergency, including death or injury. We are currently discussing this proposal with national Skywarn groups. Additional information will be posted soon.
We are currently seeking corporate sponsors to provide funding for the following:
Providing children and families with books and weather radios.
Establishing a network of crisis volunteers to support children's special needs following tragic weather-related events.
Funding for office operations, accounting and web site operations, including bandwidth costs for providing free educational access to images for schools and educators.
Providing post-tragedy stuffed animals.
Funding for the National Storm Spotter Emergency Fund.

Funneling money from the wealthy to the regular folks is always a good thing (though I guess Rush & Sean Hannity may not agree).
