Fun Storm Chaser Awards - Ideas???

I remember em all, grasshopper.

Maybe I griped about missing tornadoes, but I'm always going to, so that's default. Just struck me funny how I was nominated for the "best buster" of the year when I had my best year ever......I truly laughed out loud when I read that post.

Yeah, there certainly are better choices

What's funny about it is in any other year I'd be the winner, especially last year. Of course last year was more about what someone took from me than it was me missing storms because of busts.

It's also hilarious when I make lasting impressions on individuals for my complaining. Probably why I'm 32 and don't have an ulcer or a strand of gray hair - I know when to vent!!!!

Of course that wasn't really a team thing so much as a ride along thing. Every year seems like I always find at least one person I will never consider taking on a chase again.

Graham Butler was my mainstay partner for this year. Expect we will be doing some winter video shooting this winter again and some chasing together next year as well. Me and that boy logged a LOT of miles this year. I put almost 50k on my van and I know we were out for quite a bit in his truck as well, I am gonna venture another 10k there. (Graham?)

And graham is still alive to tell about it? amazing

A couple good suggestions... I like biggest hailstone category.. and biggest bust! *LOL* Just not THAT bust..

Anywoo, I'm going to give it one more week for suggestions.. don't vote yet.. what I'll do is open a thread for nominees in various categories.. there, you put down your nominees.. after a period of time, I'll open up polls on my website and link them from here so I can keep the voting a secret (oooohh) til I release the awards. For those categories where chasers are involved (i.e. - Biggest Bust, Dent Award, Fluke, etc), the chaser or chasers involved will be given a graphic I'll create to display on their websites.

Remember, this is not a best chaser thing, so continue to avoid those topics.. this is suppose to be fun and maybe become an annual thing..

BTW, what do you think of naming them the 'Tony Awards'. Hehehe.. yeah.. yeah.. I know.. I'm bad. 8) Actually, I'm up for suggestions there as well!

I am going to have to say closer to 15k on the truck.....bought it in April with 77k and am just shy of 97k now......I think. Minus a couple trips to Austin puts something like 13-15k on mine. Its been a heck of a year.

Well I'm alive.....my truck is still in the shop but thats another story and its a story that doesn't involve David.....lmao

I will also second Scott Currens opinion as the Tornado of the Year being the Mulvane Tornado #2......insane, thats about all I can say, the pictures from that day are hanging on my wall!!
