• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

If there are any 'newbies' on here that are interested in reading another opinion on any given day… Joel Lampe and I started a new forecasting service for $9.95 a month.

I know the vast majority of people wouldn't want or need our opinions, but some may… so if that is you.. check it out.

Cool Andrew for $25 for 3 months figured I would give it a shot.

I have always liked using your APRWX model to confirm or blow my own forecasts out of the water. Just have to make sure I don't read your email now first. :)

What is the difference between this and your new Tornado Target product?

Yep, never hurts to have another source to compare forecasts to. Looking at the text within, I might learn a thing or two as well! Very descriptive and technical but written to where it makes some sense too.

Hey Guys... thanks for the support...

Scott: TornadoTarget.com is primarily a high resolution model customized a bit, and floats over the interest area each day. It has some automated target picks, but they are few and far between because it is so strict on the guidelines it uses to have enough confidence in picking a target. But in short... think of TornadoTarget.com as another high res model to look at.

Regarding the APRWX indices... I just improved the APRWX Tornado index that runs off of GFS. It would rarely show any tornado threat before due to a bug I just found. FYI.

I'd like to also add that with SevereMap.com -- my partner in crime Joel Lampe is an OUTSTANDING forecaster. You may not have heard of him because he's kind of quiet in the community, but he's one of the best severe weather forecasters I've ever met. ..he writes a great discussion too. I'm excited about it.
